Tuesday's pink and blue

I told you I didn't forget about you!

So after restarting posting yesterday, I wrote today's aswell. This is my looks for last Tuesday. I wore a pink double skirt from Custo Barcelona, that has a silk underskirt and a top layer made of cotton, with a upper rim with little flowers and lace.

The tee is from Akiabara, a house we have here at Buenos Aires. I love this looks because it's really fresh and comfortable. The wedges I bought them on Florida Street, like 10 dolars! They're extremely comfortable to wear. And, the neckale is a golden chain with a stone at the end. A friend made it! It has a small golden elephant on it too. Really adorable.

So how was your week? Thank God it's Friday already! Mine was really long.

The Pendant

I promise I didn't forget about you few fellow readers. The magazine is driving me crazy! So much to write!

I can't believe it's almost already Thanksgiving. We don't celebrate it here in Argentina but I marks the end of November and that means the last month of the year begins, and my oh my! the year is quite over!

So, I have a few looks that I haven't shown you yet. The first one is from last Friday I think. It was a beautiful sunny day here in Buenos Aires. I love white chemise-dresses. It's like a classic, right?

In this pic I'm outside, in a gigantic garden, wearing black tights from Zara, black short boots from Paruolo, and a white shirt that is from Ayres. The vest is a Sweater from Forever 21, that has paillettes on the sides and a little pocket, but you can't see in detail.
I went up a notch on the lipstick to match the sunglasses that have a reddish look. What do you think?

The sun was a little blinding and you can't see it on the first picture but I'm wearing a golden chain necklace, with small fake pearls and two turquoise stones. I really love it! I bought it a few months ago at La Merceria, that is a place here in Palermo (Buenos Aires) that has all kind of lovely things to wear.

What do you think of my look for Friday then? Is it too classic?

Rainy day with trench

OMG what a weekend! It was awesome, and sunny. I went with my family to the country-side and spent some time relaxing on Sunday, to be awoken today by heavy rain.
Monday's a bitch, what with this weather and all the things I had to do I ended up super-exhausted. But, here I am. I wanted to show you what I wore today, because I love the rain. And I really do. Even if I was tired and had a lot of things to do.
So, this morning I looked like this.

Not only happy, but red. Rain boots by Seco, a rain-wear brand that we have in Argentina, Ayres jeans, a red raincoat from Old Navy that I bought a long time ago, but I love so much, and my polka-dot umbrella from Gap. Underneath it all I'm wearing a chemise-dress from Levi's.

The thing is that you can't really tell on the picture but it was raining cats and dogs, but the moment I stepped outside for the pic it slowed down, and my dog was driving me crazy, so I didn't have much time for accessories picture, which was just a small necklace with a pink owl, but anyways I would have loved to show it to you.

So, what do you think of my red trench? What do you wear when it rains a lot?

Navy Friday Style

Hey everyone! I do hope you're reading.
Thursday was crazyyy, but I did mange to handle everything.  I took some streetstyle pictures at the fashion show, it was great!

Take a look at the hats! The girl with the feathers and red dress is the French designer Alix Petit, that I interviewed for the magazine. She's really young, 26, and has had her own brand for like 4 years. She opened her flagship store 2 years ago in Paris. I loooooved her stuff! She printed Google Maps of the Everglades and some lakes in Utah, into pants and shirts, and jackets. Awesome! Check out the interview and the ending of the fashion show. You'll love her too!

So, inspired by the hat-ladies, I wore this outfit to work today. Striped shirt from Zara that has a heart in the middle, a Panama hat that my mother bought me in Colombia, boyfriend pants from Gap, the ballerina shoes are also Gap, and my favorite bag (or second favorite) that was a gift from Tommy Hilfigher.

Total Black LBD

I had a few minutes in between events to change clothes because I still have to go to a fashion show and then a cocktail. Te idea was to find a look that would match both so I decided to wear this LBD with lace details, but with a leather belt and a leather jacket. Instead of wearing way too elegant high heels, my feet are comfortable in ballet flats with flowers details. The clutch is in leather too, with golden details, that match my flower ring. My accessories are a hand watch with crystals and a headband in white.

So, what do you think of tonight's outfit?

My first outfit!

Good morning!

So, I know how first impressions are really important, but honestly I didn't want to over do it. After all not all of us can be Anna dello Russo (Not that I would mind having her large collection of shoes). But still.
I have several things for today, so I have a change of outfit in the afternoon. For the morning I'm wearing tight blue jeans that I rolled up to give a relaxed and summerish look. I love shirt-dresses. I bought this one when summer clothes invaded town (August!) and I used it during winter. But now that Spring is here, it's time I wore it lightly.
My shoes are peep toe wedges with a flower at the end, and I am going easy on accessories for now. Not that I accessorize too much, but you know how Rachel Zoe says in her book... But, what do you thing of my Bambi necklace?

I'm barely wearing any make up, because it's such a horrible day, and I have to wear mascara at night (I like my make up fresh).

Do you like my outfit? What would you change about it?

Hello World!

Well hello there. I see you have entered the bloggosphere.
If you are looking for inspiration, for fashion, for style, and maybe a little chatting... you're home.
I'm Betsy, a fashion journalist from Buenos Aires, and let me tell I do love fashion more than anything in the World. I love everything about it. I love it so much I wouldn't stop talking about it. I even dream about it now and then.
Fashion is my World. My everything.
So, my job requires me to dress well everyday, try not to repeat an outift (at least no on the same month! or week...) and go to fashion events almost every day. That's when it dawned on me that it was about time I had a Personal Style Blog.
And I'm going to give it a go, take a stab at it and see what comes out. I do hope you're reading out there!
Tomorrow will be my first official post so let's cross our fingers.
